Rumyana Ilieva

Rumyana is in her final year of finishing her Bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. She is currently a trainee reporter at bTV, one of the biggest national televisions in Bulgaria. She has also worked as an intern at Eurocom television and BNT. Each of the internships has taught her different aspects of working as a journalist and made her more curious and driven to follow her own path. One of the things that motivate her is the ability to share stories and raise awareness of current issues in society. Therefore one of her favorite news stories is an interview she did with a victim of discrimination in Bulgaria that quickly went viral on television. Stories like this one are what makes Rumyana passionate about her work.
