Nino Artmeladze

Nino is a 22-year-old Georgian who recently graduated from the Georgian Philology Bachelor's program at Shota Rustaveli State University. She knew since childhood that she would become a journalist, and chose journalism because she fully understands the importance of this profession and its power to bring valuable changes to society. Nino has been a reporter for the Georgian online newspaper Netgazeti.ge/Batumelebi.ge for 2 years. She often goes to non-urban areas, such as highland villages or village-type settlements; meets with locals, and prepares materials about their daily life, challenges, and other needs. Her material about women living in the mountains became the 2022 winner of the Georgian Charter of Journalism Ethics in the category of Blog/Opinion in Online Media. Another report prepared by Nino, What is the work and life of rural women in Khulo mountains, won 2nd place in WECF Georgia Media Equality 2022 competition.
