Luka Changelia

Luka Changelia is a 20-year-old News Reporter from Tbilisi, Georgia. He was born in Abkhazia, the territory occupied by Russian Federation since 2008. He graduated from L.E.P.L Ilia Vekua Public High School in 2020. The most sensitive topic for him is the case of IDPs in Georgia, as after the 2008 august war, when Russia invaded his country Luka was forced to leave his homeland in Abkhazia and move to territory controlled by the Georgian Government. At the age of 16 Luka established an online media platform in his Hometown Zugdidi with the financial support of the US embassy in Tbilisi. After graduating from school, he moved to the capital of Georgia, where he Studies Journalism and Mass Communication at Tbilisi State University. As soon as he started a new life in the Capital he started working as a photo reporter for Jamnews. After a long journey, he become a news reporter for local TV Channel TV Pirveli. Currently, Luka is working for TV RUSTAVI 2 as a news reporter, on topics of Crime and Politics.
