Maria-Cristiana Nitu

This is Maria, she is 22 years old, and she studied Journalism in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She is a young girl in love with life and adventures, currently saying yes to any opportunity that comes her way, with the goal of making her step out of her comfort zone and discover how much beauty there is in the world.

Journalism is her form of activism, and through the materials she writes, she tries to bring a dose of awareness regarding social issues, women's rights and gender equality. She wrote about reproductive rights in Romania, about abortion and feminism as concepts that need more visibility.

She loves politics, fashion and graphic design, and wants to become an investigative journalist. She fights for a society where human rights are respected, where there is diversity and freedom of expression. She believes in the power of people.
