My name is Lucie Fořtová and I am currently a third year physics undergraduate student at the Imperial College London. My primary interest is in the field of astrophysics, but lately, I became very keen on programming and data analysis. Every year, I participated in Physics and Astronomy Olympiads during my high school studies, and even won the National Round of the latter. I also represented the Czech Republic at the international rounds of the Astronomy Olympiad four times. My strong interest in physics was deepened even more during my two-week stay at the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics in Canada.
Last year, I was a secretary of the Czechoslovak society and a vice-president of baseball and softball club. This year, I am a senior rower in the university rowing club. In the future, I would like to use my knowledge of physics, mathematics and programming in disciplines that are more connected to our day-to-day experiences.
