After completing an IB diploma at the English College in Prague I set out to the Indian Himalayas where I spent over a year among the Tibetan refugee community. This experience inspired me to do my BA in Development Studies and Social Anthropology at SOAS University of London, where I developed my academic interests in social mobility, migration and human rights, with a specific focus on Tibet. I was able to apply this knowledge while working for a London based organisation Free Tibet for the past year.
This year, thanks to the generous scholarship of Bakala Foundation I was able to commence my MSc at University of Oxford. I am keen to widen my knowledge of anthropological theory and explore new areas of my research interests. I am excited to gain new experiences and perspectives on world’s critical issues from my colleagues and professors and use the numerous academic and professional opportunities that studying at Oxford has to offer.
