Jan Vácha

I’m interested in the governance of the Czech educational system and ensuring that in near future, children’s educational outcomes and wellbeing will improve to a significant extent. With the support of the Bakala Foundation, I graduated from BA Education Studies at the Institute of Education, University College London and in the ac. year 2022/23, I continued my studies in the MSc Education (Comparative and International) program at the University of Oxford.

Throughout the past several years, I have worked on strategies and contributed to conceptual work in organizations such as Učitel naživo (Teach Live), Česká středoškolská unie, Nadační fond Eduzměna or the Department of Regional Schooling at the Czech Ministry of Education. I have advised a senator on his choice of priorities in education policy and worked for a seed-stage Czech-Zambian startup working with savings groups in Africa. I like spending time in nature, camping, being with my dog and hanging out with friends.
