I grew up in a tiny South Bohemian village and attended Gymnázium Kaplice until the age of 16 which is when I won a scholarship at the Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong where I graduated two years later. Subsequently, I obtained my undergraduate law degree at the University of Cambridge. Following my graduation in July 2021, I was a trainee at the Hellenic National Bioethics Commission and at the European Parliament (European Parliamentary Research Service). Currently, I am a legal trainee at noyb, an NGO focusing on strategic litigation in data protection law, whilst I also contribute to a monthly online human rights magazine of the Czech Centre for Human Rights and Democracy. These are also precisely the areas of law that I am most interested in. Thanks to the generous support of the Bakala Foundation, I will be able to enrol into MPhil in Law (a research master’s degree) at the University of Oxford where I will be researching data protection law and its intersection with human rights law.
