Yuliia Bondar chose journalism in 2014 when she was 16. She did not know about killing journalists for telling the truth, harassment, and blackmail then. Now she is 25 and grasps all risks of working as a journalist. Today Yuliia covers the war in her country but takes it. In June 2022, Yuliia did her Master's degree at The School of Journalism and Communications, Ukrainian Catholic University. Before that, she worked at a local newspaper for a year. During her studies, she has also worked as a freelancer in various Ukrainian media and continues doing so. She's become a journalist for Ukrainian Week, Zbruch, The Ukrainians, Divoche Media, The Fix, Svidomi, Your City, Ukraїner, Drohobych.City, Radio Svoboda, Novynarnya, and hromadske. Yuliia writes about war, life near the front line, education, literature and media. Since the fulls scale war began, Yuliia has started working as Cheif-of-Editor of the Ukrainian press Svidomi, which counts 150 thousand subscribers.
