From an early age, I have been fascinated by space exploration, computer science, and electronics. By the end of elementary school, I began participating in correspondence seminars from the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics at Charles University, focusing on mathematics, physics, and computer science. My involvement in the IT community GUG.cz significantly advanced my skills, where I helped to organise developer conferences DevFest.cz and local lectures on various topics. I also participated in several competitions by the European Space Agency. In the CanSat competition, our team built a satellite the size of a can; in the Astro Pi competition, our code ran in space on the ISS; and in the Moon Camp Challenge, we designed a lunar base. In my final year of high school, I worked at the Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences, where I created programs to automate measurements of the electrical properties of silicon strip sensors that will be used at CERN.
I studied Electronic and Information Engineering at Imperial College London, which combines computer science and electronics. I am particularly interested in subjects related to digital electronics and signal processing. During my studies, I also had internships that further developed my skills. In the summer of 2022, I worked at ESA in Darmstadt, where I automated procedures for the Integral satellite. In 2023, under the supervision of Dr Bhandari, I worked on a new method of digitising information. This internship captivated me, so I decided to work on my thesis in the same group, and I will continue working in this group as a PhD researcher.
In my free time, I enjoy cycling (the best way to explore London), running, listening to music, or reading.
