A lot has changed since I first received the scholarship from Bakala Foundation. I have successfully finished studying my joint BA in Archaeology and Anthropology at Oxford University, gaining a First Class. I then succeeded this by an MSc in Cognitive and Evolutionary Anthropology, also at Oxford, doing research into evolutionary gender differences in interpreting the tone of voice and absorbing information from speech. I cannot thank NZB enough for giving me the opportunity to be able to study at Oxford - I would never be able to afford it on my own and owe NZB a lot. While I initially wanted to carry on with a PhD, an opportunity arose for me to do a part-time MBA which is due to finish in 2017 and which I am doing aside my job in London. My dream is to become an entrepreneur in the next few years, creating a product (watch this space!) which matters and makes people's lives better; as well as immersing myself in charity. Also, I am freshly, very happily engaged so there will be time set aside for planning a wedding, as well as trying to set up the business.
