Ondřej Szkandera

I have been attending the PORG Grammar school in Ostrava for five years now, but sport is also a big part of my life. I like running, bikeriding, walking in the mountains, skiing. Although I think that my knowledge got me among the finalists of ASSIST program, it was sports and my overal enthusiasm that helped me to impress the jury, thanks to which I have become an ASSIST fellow. In addition to being an active sportsman, I have been playing chess or guitar for a long time. Bottomo line, I'm the type of person who just has to be everywhere, from a school band to an instructor at camps to an international student who spends a year in a foreign country. I'm going to join Christ School in North Carolina in August, and although I am still not acquainted with many of its details I know for sure that the nature there is beautiful, the mountains are high and the grass on the American football field is cut short. So it is clear that, at least in this respect, I will not be bored and I can't wait.
