István Faragó

István Faragó is a BBA student at Corvinus University of Budapest and currently a journalist trainee at Hungary’s market leading online news outlet, Index.hu, where he writes mostly about economics, foreign policy and sports issues. István has many cross-cultural experiences, as he spent two semesters abroad at Uppsala University and University of St. Gallen during 2022. Last year he also made it to the European Week of Regions and Cities in Brussels, where he represented Hungary in the Youth4Regions Programme for Aspiring Journalists. In St. Gallen he attended Impulse Summit, that is a sports business conference with professionals from the industry. Currently sport is the dominant topic in István’s journalistic work, as he has made interviews with professionals from Hungary and abroad in the recent past. At the same time, he is dealing a lot with the domestic sports funding system in articles and scientific papers.
