Hana Pařízková

I have never managed to choose if I am most interested in biology, chemistry, or mathematics. During my high school studies at Grammar School Velké Meziříčí I thus participated in knowledge competitions in all of them (and not only them) and I searched a field combining all of these subjects for my university studies. My first choice was molecular biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Charles University, however, it didn't meet my expectations and therefore I moved to bioinformatics (also at Charles University) after one year. And here I finally found what I was looking for: a fascinating combination of mathematics, computer science, biology and chemistry, disciplines which are very diverse but the more productive may be their cooperation. After receiving the bachelor degree (hopefully in June 2018) I would like to continue with my studies at ETH Zurich, study program Computational Biology & Bioinformatics. Except natural sciences I like to read books, cook, play the flute and do ballroom dancing.
