The main area of my research is at the interface of quantum physics and artificial intelligence. These disciplines combine fundamental mathematics and computer science with applied quantum physics. This rapidly evolving field develops new technologies to tackle some of the most computationally intensive challenges we are facing today, like development of new medications or sustainable materials. Currently, I lead “Quantum Matter and AI” Lab at Kavli Institute of Nanoscience in Delft, Netherlands. Previously, I held a postdoctoral fellowship at ETH Zurich and was a member of quantum council of the World Economic Forum. I completed my PhD at Aarhus University in Denmark. I received my masters degree from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics and my bachelor degree in mathematical physics from CTU in Prague. When I am not programming quantum physics simulations, I spend my time ice-skating, learning to play cello and reading.
