I have been interested in architecture’s role in creating environment for our lives and forming relations between space, materials and people for a long time. What began as a simple admiration of the aesthetic and functional qualities of buildings developed into serious exploration of various definitions of architecture and the way in which architects note their own understanding and perception of the world around them through their work. Architecture as the poetry of reality, that is what fascinates me the most. After finishing high school in Prague and being awarded scholarship from Bakala Foundation, I went on to study at the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. Furthering my strong interest in contemporary and traditional Japanese architecture and aesthetics I am currently continuing my architectural education at the University of Tokyo.
