Adéla Černá

Adéla Černá is a 22-year-old student of Journalism and English Language & Literature at Charles University in Prague. She specialises in audio journalism and focuses primarily on social topics; her bachelor project ‘A Streetcar Named Desire – an audio reportage interview’ depicted the experiences and hopes of a sex worker. She and her colleague also wrote a Solutions Journalism article about the first Czech open prison, which got among the top three texts in the Czech Journalism Award 2021. Currently, she is enclosing her year-long intensive programme in Czech Radio that prioritised enhancing speech abilities and the production of miscellaneous audio outputs. Previously, she also worked as an intern for Transparency International. When she is not curiously looking for new stories to capture, she enjoys learning languages – her new goal is to master Irish.
