PHOTOGALLERY: Garden Celebration of the 16th Scholarship Program Edition

The final interviews for this year’s Scholarship recipients culminated on Wednesday, June 11, with a celebratory garden party at Hartig Palace. The event was attended by more than 220 guests, including current scholars, alumni, this year's finalists with their families, program supporters, and both founders of the foundation, Michaela and Zdeněk Bakala.

The evening marked not only the conclusion of the demanding final interview round, but above all, the celebration of the program’s 16th year. Over the years, the Scholarship has opened the doors to top global universities for 216 talented young people—and 10 more will join them this September.

In her speech, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees, Michaela Bakala thanked the foundation team for their dedication and encouraged the students to speak up, share their views, and strive to change the world around them. Photo: Ondřej Besperát
