Zdenek Bakala: A lifelong sports enthusiast

As a true fan of the sport, Zdenek Bakala does not miss a chance to personally cheer for talented Czech athletes or members of his cycling team. But his involvement does not stop there - supporting  young riders, research and innovation are founding principles behind the Bakala Academy, which was established on the prestigious campus of Leuven University in Belgium. The Bakala Academy contributes to the promotion of fair-play in a doping-free sports environment, where each individual is stimulated to develop his or her physical fitness and performance level from a perspective of personal well-being and health improvement.
