In August 2020, the Bakala Foundation will again organize an intensive 10-day summer course in journalism designed for students of journalism and aspiring journalists from 11 countries. Journey: Journalism Bootcamp focuses on best practices and standards in an ever evolving landscape of modern-day journalism.
Students of journalism and related fields, such as media studies, will have a chance to discuss relevant themes in journalism during lectures and test their skills in practical exercises throughout the week under guidance from experienced editors from leading news organizations, such as CNN, BBC, The New Yorker, Reuters, etc.
The course will take place in Prague on August 1–11, 2020 at Villa Grébovka in “Havlíčkovy sady” park. Applicants must be citizens of one of the following countries: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Ukraine, United Kingdom, or the United States of America.
