“Building in Cities and Building Cities” is the theme of the lecture that will be given by Bob Allies, one of the founders of the renowned London-based architecture and urban planning practice Allies and Morrison, during his visit to the Czech Republic. The lecture will be followed by a discussion with another well-known guest, Deyan Sudjic, the director of the London Design Museum, about the role architecture plays in cities.
These two interesting people from the sphere of international architecture have been invited to Prague by the Bakala Foundation and the Kaplicky Centre Endowment Fund to select the best work submitted for the
Kaplicky Internship 2017 architectural competition. The winner of this third year of the competition will have the opportunity to complete a paid three-month internship at Allies and Morrison.
The lecture will take place on
October 5, 2017, starting at
6:00 pm at the
DOX Centre for Contemporary Art. Attendees will not only find out about the views held by leading representatives of international architecture regarding the urbanism of today, but can also look forward to the announcement of the competition results.
